Rhine Legions. Anonymous, circa May/June-December 68. Denarius (Subaeratus, 17 mm, 2.67 g, 7 h), uncertain mint in Gaul or in the Rhine Valley. 'S P Q R Group'. SALVS - [GENERIS] HVMANI Pax-Nemesis, winged, standing right, holding winged caduceus pointing down at snake in her left hand and holding out fold of drapery below chin with her right. Rev. S P Q R within oak wreath. BMC 30. CG 105.2 (this coin). Cohen 423. Martin 80. Nicolas 66 = 69. RIC 74. Extremely rare, one of only five known examples, three of which are in museums. Some deposits and with minor breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
